I have to admit, I don’t think I would have been sitting in the rain and wind with some 34K brave souls at Foxboro Stadium on Oct. 20, 1996 – the first MLS Cup ever. Fortunately, myself, along with other members of the media were in a press box, nice and warm and dry and seemingly a million miles away from the elements.
