The first cupsets of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer’s national championship, were delivered by amateurs North Carolina Fusion U23 (USL L2), Open Cup regulars and Californians Central Valley Fuego FC (USL League One) and tournament debutants St. Louis CITY2 (MLS Next PRO).
