AUBURN, N.Y. – Flower City Union, playing as Salt City Union for the first time, dropped its inaugural game at Falcon Park Stadium, 3-1, to the Los Angeles Force in National Independent Soccer Association action on Saturday night.

Kyle Nelson scored his first goal of the year for Salt City Union, while Oscar Correa Sanchez, Aldo Quintanilla and Dekel Keinan found the net for LA.

The visitors drew first blood in the 32nd minute when Sanchez tallied from point-blank range off a counterattack in the 32nd minute.

Four minutes into the second half, Quintanilla doubled the lead as he scored from close range.

The hosts came close to scoring in the 55th minute when Luke Ferreira ripped a shot off the crossbar.

Salt City sliced the lead in half in the 64th minute when substitute John Requejo, Jr. swung in a corner kick from the left side that Kyle Nelson headed in.

The Force, however, restored its two-goal margin in the 77th minute when Keinan put home a corner kick past goalkeeper Trevor Wilson.
