On the heels of Michael Lewis’ 2022 book about the Rochester Lancers comes a sequel about the soccer team.
The book, entitled STILL ALIVE AND KICKING The story of the 21st century Rochester Lancers, is scheduled to be published this spring.
This new volume follows in the footsteps of ALIVE AND KICKING The incredible but true story of the Rochester Lancers, which was released in 2022 to critical acclaim.
STILL ALIVE AND KICKING will include feature stories about the leading players, personalities, coaches and individuals behind the scenes on the Lancers’ men’s and women’s and indoor teams since team owner SoccerSam Fantauzzo revived the brand in 2011. The book also has updated information on the 2023 team that is competing in the Major Arena Soccer League 2.
And there will be some intriguing chapters about the original Lancers teams that competed in the American Soccer League and North American Soccer League from 1967-80, and some lighter moments about the club and author.
