The Red Bulls have been drawn into the same group as Atletico San Luis and the New England Revolution for the 2023 League Cup, the league announced Friday.

The 2023 Leagues Cup will consist of 47 teams total as the winner of each group will advance to the Round of 32.

Each team will play two group stage matches and the top two from each group will advance to the knockout-rounds, which will be single elimination.

The winner of Leagues Cup 2023 will qualify to the Round of 16 of the Concacaf Champions League, while the runner-up and the winner of the third-place match will qualify for the Concacaf Champions League. The tournament will run from July 21 to Aug. 19.

Atletico San Luis was founded in 2013 and was promoted to Liga MX in 2019. The team finished in 13th place of the 2022-2023 Apertura with 18 points. Atletico’s highest finish in La Liga was when it finished 10th place in the 2021-2022 Clausura.

The Revolution finished 10th in the Eastern Conference last season. The Red Bulls have posted a 34-40-20 record against New England across all competitions since Major League Soccer’s 1996 inaugural season. The Red Bulls have recorded a 26-12-10 mark against the Revs at Red Bull Arena.
