Hofstra University alumnus Miri Taylor has signed a contract with Liverpool FC in the FA Women’s Super League.

Taylor became the fourth former Pride player to be competing in the highest league of women’s football in England, joining Leah Galton (Manchester United), Amy Turner (Tottenham Hotspur) and Diane Caldwell (Reading).

Taylor, who graduated in 2022, is Hofstra’s all-time leader in assists (31) and finished her career with 33 goals and 97 points. Her goals total ranks sixth all-time at Hofstra, while her 97 points is fourth.

During her senior campaign, Taylor posted a school-record 45 points on 17 goals and 11 assists. She was a United Soccer Coaches All-American and the Colonial Athletic Association attacking player of the year as a senior, and was one of 15 players on the women’s side to be selected as a semifinalist for the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy, the highest individual award presented to a player in intercollegiate soccer.

Taylor was a member of three CAA championship teams (2018, 2019, 2021) and led the Pride to the second round of the NCAA Division I Tournament in each of those seasons.

Angel City FC selected Taylor in the fourth round of the 2021 National Women’s Soccer League draft and played in 11 games with five starts during Angel City FC’s inaugural 2022 season.
