New York City FC announced Thursday its preseason roster ahead prior to the Major League Soccer season and goalkeeper Sean Johnson wasn’t included.

Johnson, the team who backstopped City to the 2021 MLS Cup championship, is a free agent and reportedly is a target of Toronto FC, an Eastern Conference rival.

The four keepers on the preseason roster are Luis Barraza, Cody Mizell, Alex Rando and Alex Yagudayev.

The team is scheduled to depart later today for training camp beginning in Orlando, Fla.

A total 31 players are on the preseason roster.

Six Academy, NYCFC II players, and one trialist will join the first team this year. MLS SuperDraft selections Malcolm Johnston, Braudilio Rodrigues and Matthew Myers also will travel with the team.

Gabriel Pereira and Mitja Ilenič will report to camp upon receipt of their P-1 visa. Chris Gloster will not be traveling to Orlando due to illness.

NYCFC opens their preseason slate against Minnesota United on Jan. 18.
