For the third time this season, the Big East has named St. John’s University goalkeeper Zenden Hart its freshman of the week, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

Hart, a product of Booker Bay, Australia, was crucial to the Red Storm securing a make-or-break result against the University of Connecticut on Saturday night at Belson Stadium. He made four saves, including two in the final 10 minutes, in a scoreless draw.

The clean sheet was the second of the season for Hart, who was also named the conference freshman of the Week on Sept. 19 and Oct. 17 after helping the Red Storm secure results against Georgetown University and Providence College, respectively.

Hart has compiled a 0.85 goals-against average and a .818 save percentage in 10 starts, both of which rank in the top five in the conference.

The Red Storm will close its regular season at Marquette University on Wednesday night. The Johnnies need a win coupled with a UConn loss or draw against Georgetown to secure the sixth and final spot in the Big East Men’s Soccer Championship.
