Eliot Goldthorp and Ryan Carmichael scored but Drexel University tallied the equalizer in the 75th minute as the Hofstra University men played to a 2-2 draw at Vidas Field in a Colonial Athletic Association game in Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday afternoon.

Drexel (5-3-5, 3-2-3) took a 1-0 lead at 15:35 on Josh Dubost’s goal. The Pride would tie it on Goldthorp’s penalty kick, his 12th goal of the season, at 25:07. Goldthorp’s 29 points this season is tied for ninth on Hofstra season list.

Carmichael made it a 2-1 game with his ninth goal at 69:07 before Giancarlo Vaccaro scored the equalizer at 74:30. Carmichael tied Patrick Geraghty (1998-2001) for ninth on the career points list with 67.

Hofstra (9-3-3, 4-2-2) outshot the Dragons, 21-10, and had nine shots on goal compared to three for the home side.

Drexel keeper Alessandro Capogna made seven saves. Hofstra goalkeeper Wessel Speel had one save.

The Pride is back in action at Lafayette College on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
