The IASL Boom will hit the road again as it tries for qualify for the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

The Rochester-based club will visit SC Vistula Garfield in the third qualifying round at the Athenia Steel Recreation Complex; Clifton, N.J. at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 19.

In the second qualifying round, IASL Boom defeat defeated the host Sahara Gunners FC, 3-1, last month.

In a New Jersey derby, visiting SC Vistula Garfield downed the Jackson Lions, 2-1, in its second-round qualifier.

The Boom, which plays in the United Premier Soccer League, won the Western New York title this past summer.

In 1963, the Italian American Sport Club captured the U.S. Amateur Cup title, which led to the formation of the Rochester Lancers, the start of professional soccer in the city. The Lancers competed in the American Soccer League and North American Soccer League from 1967-1980.
