Midfielder Alfredo Morales will miss New York City FC’s MLS Cup Playoffs first-round game with a calf injury.

Defender Tayvon Gray (lower body injury) and forward Talles Magno (upper body injury) are questionable.

The Cityzens host Inter Miami CF at Citi Field on Monday (7 p.m. ET).

“Tayvon and Talles allies are working really hard to try and get back as quick as possible,” interim head coach Nick Cushing said on Saturday. “We haven’t ruled them out but they’re just pain dependent. They’re a million times better than they were two days ago. Hopefully, they’ll be in a place where they’re comfortable.”

The update on Morales wasn’t as optimistic as Cushing said the midfielder needed another seven days.

“He’s working hard and he’s getting through it but it’s a muscle injury,” he said. “There’s no way that he could make this game.”
