FOX Sports Thursday announced its coverage plans for international friendly between the U.S. women’s national team and England airing Friday, Oct. 7.

The highly anticipated match on FOX features the reigning back-to-back Women’s World Cup champions in the USWNT, and the newly crowned UEFA European Champions in England. The match, which will be held at Wembley Stadium in London, sold out of tickets faster than any women’s soccer match in history outside of a major international tournament.

David Neal, executive producer of FIFA World Cup on FOX and vice president of production for FOX Sports, noted the significance of the match.

“Coming out of the huge success of the UEFA Women’s European Championship and with the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup draw just a few weeks away, FOX Sports is thrilled to present this epic rivalry match in front of a sold-out Wembley Stadium on FOX on a weekday afternoon,” Neal said in a statement. “This match and these teams deserve it, and we look forward to broadcasting a terrific showdown.”

Live coverage on FOX begins at 2:30 p.m. ET with host Rob Stone, National Soccer Hall of Famer and lead studio analyst Alexi Lalas and new studio analyst Carli Lloyd. Lloyd joins FOX Sports in studio after recently being announced as a new analyst for the network at World Cup.

Veteran play-by-play announcer JP Dellacamera and former USWNT players Aly Wagner, the network’s lead broadcast team at the 2019 Women’s World Cup, will partner to call the match starting at 3 p.m. ET.

Jacqui Oatley will make her network debut reporting on-location from Wembley Stadium, while Dr. Joe Machnik rounds out the broadcast team as rules analyst.

The USWNT’s meeting with England on Friday comes nearly two weeks before the final draw for the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand on Saturday, Oct. 22, and 49 days before Friday, Nov. 25, when the U.S. men’s national team plays England in the group stage of the World Cup.
