Fordham University’s Daniel Espeleta was selected as the Atlantic 10 men’s offensive player of the week on Monday.

The Athens, Ga. native was the second Ram to earn a weekly award this season, joining Nathan Simes, who has two rookie of the week awards to his credit.

Espeleta scored his first two goals as a Ram last week. He began by netting the equalizer on Monday in a 1-1 draw at Rutgers University. He followed with Fordham’s first goal on Saturday against the University of Massachusetts, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

He is tied for second on the team in scoring with six points (two goals and two assists).

Espeleta and the rest of the Rams will play at Davidson College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. before hosting Saint Louis on Saturday at 6 p.m.
