The St. John’s University women’s fell to Villanova University, 1-0, in Big East action at the Higgins Soccer Complex in Philadelphia, Pa. on a rainy Sunday.

Brigid Balloy scored her first goal of the season, beating goalkeeper Gina Muzi in the 55th minute.

Muzi made two saves for the Red Storm (5-4-3, 2-2). Keeper Megan McClay produced two saves for the Wildcats (3-4-2, 2-1-0).

The Red Storm will host Creighton University at Belson Stadium on Thursday at 7 p.m.
