Here are a couple of things that might annoy Red Bulls supporters.
Two former Red Bulls on Nashville SC have received regular-season end of the year awards.
Midfielders Sean Davis was named newcomer of the year and Alex Muyl scored the MLS team’s goal of the year.
Davis joined Nashville SC after reaching the MLS Cup Playoffs in seven consecutive seasons with the Red Bulls. He has played in every MLS match this season (32), leading outfield players in minutes (2,663) and interceptions (56). Davis made his 200th MLS regular season appearance on Aug. 27 in a 3-0 win at Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Muyl’s goal against CF Montréal at GEODIS Park on May 18 earned him the club’s goal of the year. After a sequence that started with a long pass from goalkeeper Joe Willis, Muyl corralled the pass off his chest and darted towards the penalty area. Running from the right side of the pitch, Muyl cut inside while dragging a defender to his left and fired a rocket off his left foot that curled into the upper portion of the side netting.
