The Harrison Soccer Sculpture Monument will be unveiled at Harrison Library Park in Harrison, N.J. on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

The statue is sculpted by Andre Iwanzyck.

Many legends are expected to attend the event – legends of the game in Harrison, West Hudson and America.

They include John Harkes, Tab Ramos, Tony Meola, Peter Millar, Jose “Joe” Montesinos, Manny Schellscheidt, David D’Errico, Eddie Austin, Santiago Formoso, Hugh O’Neill, Jim Harkes Sr., Jim Harkes Jr. Mike Mara, Rab Logan, Chris Acuna, Bobby Smith, Kevin Welch, Hubert Birkenmeier and Andranik Eskandarian.

Invited guests include Kearny, N.J. mayor Alberto Santos and the City Council, East Newark, N.J. mayor Dina M. Grilo and the City Council, Hudson County Executive Thomas DeGise, the County Board of Commissioners, Congressman elect Robert Menendez, Kr, among others.

James Harrison, New Jersey and a U.S. Soccer historian also will attend.

Councilman Michael T. Dolaghan is the committee chairman of the project.
