Fordham University’s Nathan Simes was named the Atlantic 10 Conference rookie of the week for the second week in a row, it was announced on Monday.

Simes scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season in the Rams’ 2-2 draw with the University of Rhode Island in the conference opener on Saturday. He became the first Fordham freshman to score five goals in a season since Janos Loebe in 2015.

He is tied with the University of Massachusetts’ Alec Hughes for the A-10 lead in goals, while also tied for the league lead in game-winning goals (two) and tied for second in points (11).

Simes and Fordham will play at St. Bonaventure on Saturday then to Rutgers University on Monday, Sept. 26.

will next be in action on Saturday, September 24th, when they travel to St. Bonaventure for a 5:00 PM match, followed by a Monday, September 26th match at Rutgers.
