The Red Bulls have launched the 10th annual “11 Days of Service,” a month-long community initiative running in conjunction with Sept. 11 – the national day of service and remembrance, it was announced by the MLS club on Thursday.
Rather than just participate in one day of service, players, front office staff, supporters and partners will participate in several different community activations as a tribute to the victims and survivors from the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
“Throughout the year, giving back to the community and our neighbors remains a priority for our club,” Red Bulls general manager Marc de Grandpré said. “Now in the 10th year of ’11 Days of Service’, members of our organization, our valued partners and loyal supporters will come together once again. During the month, they will all give their time and energy to honor the courageous heroes of 9/11 and their families.”
The club kicked off “11 Days of Service” at the beginning of the month by distributing 537 meals to families in Summit, NJ as part of the GRACE Distribution Day.
