Ricardo Pepi, who struggled finding playing time with Augsburg and he net when he did get some minutes, will go Dutch for the rest of the 2022-23 season.

The U.S. men’s national team forward will play on loan at FC Groningen in the Netherlands, it was announced on Wednesday as he tries to rediscover his scoring prowess.

“I am an agile striker who is both on the ball and without the ball,” Pepe said on the FC Groningen website. “I am hungry for goals and I want to help the team. Groningen is a beautiful club in the Netherlands where young players are given the opportunity to develop. There are many great players here. played in their younger days.โ€

The 19-year-old forward and former FC Dallas standout joined the Bundesliga side earlier this year with some high hopes, but hasn’t found the range as he has fallen off the chart as a potential player at the World Cup in Qatar.
