In their first road test of the season, the Hofstra University women played to a scoreless draw at Yale University at Reese Stadium on Friday afternoon.

The Pride held a 14-3 advantage in shots.

Hofstra moved to 1-0-1 while the Bulldogs opened their campaign with the draw.

The visitors had several chances, including three consecutive shots on goal early in the second half that Yale goalkeeper Maya Bellomo was able to save. Bellomo finished with four saves. Hofstra keeper Skylar Kuzmich was only tested once, midway through the first half.

Hofstra’s last scoreless draw was against William & Mary on Oct. 17, 2021. The team is 2-3-1 all-time against Yale.

The Pride will have a quick turnaround as it hosts UAlbany at Hofstra Soccer Stadium on Sunday at 3 p.m.
