The Fordham University women have named senior Kristen Cocozza and junior Cambrie Arboreen as team captains.

“We have two people who are perfect examples of who you want leading a program,” head coach Magnus Nilerud said in a statement.

Cocozza has never missed a game in her three seasons at Fordham and been a staple on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. A 2019 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection, she has earned two weekly awards from the league and has tallied three game-winning goals.

“Kristen’s experience on and off the field as a Ram was a natural choice to lead the program into its new chapter,” Nilerud said.

Like Cocozza, Arboreen has been named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in each of her first two years at Fordham.

“Cambrie is a natural leader and everything you want as an ambassador of the program,” Nilerud said

Cocozza and Arboreen will lead the Rams in the team’s first regular season game at Stony Brook University at 6 p.m. Thursday.
