We’re running out of adjectives to describe this horrible, horrendous, terrible and abysmal season by Red Bulls II.

The team went down to yet another defeat on Wednesday night, losing to Memphis 901 FC, 2-1, in a USL Championship game at MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, N.J.

Red Bulls II (6 points) dropped dropped to 2-18-3 and Memphis (42) improved to 13-6-3.

Memphis got on the board first after Chris Allan sprung Jeremy Kelly for a breakaway. Kelly took a low shot after a 40-yard run for the goal past goalkeeper Giannis Nikopolid

The visitors doubled their advantage in the 70th minute, when Phillip Goodrum headed in a Aaron Molloy free kick.

Red Bulls II finally scored in the 88th minute. Steven Sserwadda slipped a through ball to Jordan Adebayo-Smith, who went in untouched and deposited a low shot into the back of the net. Adebayo-Smith has a team-high four goals.

Red Bulls Academy products Davi Alexandre and Erick Ruiz made their professional debuts, becoming the sixth and seventh Academy players to make their debut this season.

Alexandre became the fourth youngest player in Red Bulls II history to appear in a match at 15 years and 181 days old. He is also the second youngest player in USL Championship to appear in a match this season, only behind New York’s Nathan Worth.

Nikopolidis made a career-high nine saves.

Red Bulls II will host Atlanta United 2 on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at MSU Soccer Park.
