editor Michael Lewis will talk about the glamorous and not-so-glamorous side of covering sports in his presentation, The Joy of Sports Writing, at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library in Plainview, N.Y. on Tuesday, July 19.

The talk, which will include several mediums – newspapers, magazines, books and online, will run from 2-3 p.m.

Lewis, a former Plainview, N.Y. resident, has covered every sport one can imagine. The list includes football, baseball, basketball, ice hockey, wrestling, cricket, volley ball, cheerleading and even shark fishing. He has specialized in soccer during his career.

The library requires proof of current vaccination status for entry to this program. Everyone needs to provide a vaccination card or the NYS Excelsior Pass.
