The Red Bulls have mutually agreed to terminate the loan of defender Lucas Monzon, the club announced Monday morning.

Monzon will return to Danubio FC, following 11 months with the Red Bulls.

the 20-year-old defender joined the Red Bulls on loan in August 2020. He made one appearance in MLS action, which was against D.C. United on Oct. 27, 2021. He also appeared in the Red Bulls’ fourth round match of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against D.C. United.

“We want to thank Lucas for his time with the club,” Red Bulls sporting director Denis Hamlett said in a statement. “We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

The Red Bulls head on the road to face Austin FC on Sunday, July 24 at 8 p.m. ET at Q2 Stadium.
