Red Bulls II descent into USL Championship hell continued on Saturday night as it extended their winless streak to nine games.

The squad dropped a 2-0 decision to the Indy Eleven at Michael A. Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

NYRBII (1-9-1, 4 points) last won more than two months ago on March 16. Indy improved to 5-3-2 and 17 points.

Indy took the lead in the 30th minute off a throw-in from the far side of the field that grazed the head of O’Vonte Mullings and took a deflection off Juan Castillo into the net for an own goal.

The hosts doubled their advantage right before the half. Noah Powder sent a long lead pass up the field to Jonas Fjeldberg, who made a run from the halfway line, collected the ball on a breakaway, and scored.

Goalkeeper Derrek Chan made his first professional start in the match in his second appearance of the season, recording three saves.

Red Bulls Academy midfielder Sam Williams made his seventh start of the season, surpassing his 2021 total.

Adam Najem, who signed a 25-day contract, made his club debut, coming on as a halftime substitute.

Jack Casey made his professional debut in the match as an 82nd-minute substitute.

Red Bulls II returns home to face Birmingham Legion FC at MSU Soccer Park at MSU Park at 7 p.m. ET.
