Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association will hold its State Cup semifinals on Saturday on the respective team’s home fields.

Teams that win Saturday’s semifinal games will play in the championship games on June 4 and 5 at Stringham Park in LaGrange, N.Y. on June 4-5. Stringham Park is a short direct kick from the Taconic State Parkway. Twenty-two championship games will be played that weekend.

The State Cup featured elimination rounds. If the score is tied in the Boys and Girls Under-10 to U-14 divisions, extratime will be played – two 10-minute periods. If no winner is determined, a shootout will be determine the victory.

In U-15 to U-19, the extratime format will be two 15-minute periods followed by a shootout if needed. The extra time format is not a golden goal.

There are two State Cup competitions in ENYYSA. The State Open Cup, from U-12 on up, is for the top teams and it’s the pathway to nationals. The Challenge Cup is for all teams at U-10 and U-11 as there is not a State Open Cup in those age groups. For the U-13 division, it’s for mid- to lower-tier teams.
