Red Bulls II have signed midfielder Adam Najem to a 25-day USL Championship contract pending league and federation approval, the club announced Thursday.

The 25-day period will end on Saturday, June 11.

Najem, 27, most recently played for Canadian Premier League club FC Edmonton. The midfielder has appeared in 72 USL Championship matches in his career, with stops at Bethlehem Steel, Memphis 901 FC and Tampa Bay Rowdies. He also spent time with Wigry Suwałki in Poland.

The Clifton, N.J. native is a Red Bulls Academy product who played at the University of Akron. He signed with the Philadelphia Union in 2017, appearing in five matches while also spending time with Bethlehem.

Najem also has played for Afghanistan’s national team.

The 5-9, 150-lb. midfielder spent time with Red Bulls II during the 2022 preseason, appearing in three matches and had a goal in the finale.
