Atlanta United Monday announced that U.S. men’s national team center back Miles Robinson suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in his left leg during Saturday’s 4-1 win over the Chicago Fire.
Robinson’s injury will sideline him for the World Cup. Achilles injuries take months from which to recover.
Robinson is scheduled to have surgery later Monday.
It was not known how long Robinson will be sidelined.
