Allie Long is pregnant – with twins.

The former U.S. women’s international midfielder is expecting a boy and a girl with boyfriend Casey Cordial, PEOPLE magazine reported on Friday.

Long, a Northport, N.Y. native who played for the Albertson Soccer Club, is expected to give birth in June.

“I’ve always dreamed of being a mom,” Long told PEOPLE. “I think as an athlete, you’re always playing for yourself in a way and your team, but I’m excited to kind of be in the position where I’m playing for my family and them, and a different perspective on life.”

The 34-year-old Long had been married to former soccer player Jose Batista, but got divorced some time over the past few years.

Cordial is a sports medicine chiropractor.

The NJ/NY Gotham FC midfielder told the magazine that she had “no idea” she was pregnant last year

“I played nine weeks of my professional season pregnant with twins, having no idea,” she said.

“I cried. A little bit of tears came up because I’ve always wanted to be a mom. I love kids. But then to know that there’s two, I cried, like happy tears, but I was like, ‘Stop it. You’re lying.’ ”

Long, who scored eight goals in 51 international appearances, was a member of the USWNT’s 2019 Women’s World Cup championship team.
