If New York City FC wants to defeat the Seattle Sounders in the second leg of the Concacaf Champions League semifinals on Wednesday night, it will have to accomplish that without star midfielder Maxi Moralez and center back Maxime Chanot.

“They are not available for the game,” New York City FC head coach Ronny Deila said during a Tuesday afternoon press conference.

Moralez is recuperating from bruised ribs he reportedly incurred while training in Seattle prior to the first leg, which the Sounders won, 3-1.

Chanot suffered an eye injury while on international duty with the Luxembourg national team in March.

NYCFC hosts Seattle at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday.
