The Red Bulls will play Hartford Athletic FC in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, April 20 at Trinity Health Stadium (aka Dillion Stadium) in Hartford, Conn.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN+ and New York Red Bulls Radio.

New York enters its 24th Open Cup, and its first match in the Open Cup since 2019, where the team lost to New England Revolution, 3-2.

The Red Bulls have amassed 26-22-3 recorrd in the cup. They have reached the final of the tournament twice, in 2003 against Chicago Fire FC and most recently in 2017 vs. Sporting Kansas City.

The Red Bulls have recorded a 15-8-0 mark in the ffirst round and are 4-1-0 in their opening round matches in their last five tournaments.
