The 2022 version of Red Bulls II continued to look like the 2021 edition as the USL Championship side lost for the third time in four games this season.

In fact, 10-man New York (1-3-0, 3 points) dropped points at home for the second consecutive time in a 2-0 loss to Louisville City FC (3-0-0, 9) at MSU Soccer Park on Wednesday night.

Louisville opened the scoring in the 18th minute, as midfielder Ray Serrano scored following a scramble in front of the net.

The visitors doubled their advantage in the 87th minute. Red Bulls II defender Lamine Conte was shown a red card after a foul to prevent a scoring chance. Wilson Harris scored off the following free kick.

Goalkeeper AJ Marcucci recorded four saves, increasing his season total to a league-leading 16. He also made his 14th consecutive start dating back to Sept. 19.

Red Bulls forward Serge Ngoma made his season debut.

The team will travel to face FC Tulsa on Saturday, April 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
