Sergino Dest could  be lost for the final three WCQs for the USMNT.

Goalkeeper Ethan Horvath is back for the first time since the summer.

Ditto for midfielder Gio Reyna, who hadn’t played for the side since September.

And center backs Aaron Long and James Sands got the call.

Outside back Sergino Dest, however, could be out after incurring an injury Thursday playing for Barcelona in the Europa League.

U.S. men’s national team head c6oach Gregg Berhalter Thursday called 27 players to prepare for the final trio of Octagonal matches. The training camp roster will begin reporting to camp in Houston this weekend.

After 11 matches played in the final round of qualifying, the USA sits in second place with the top three teams in Concacaf clinching automatic berths to Qatar, while the fourth-place team will participate in an intercontinental playoff in June.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to achieve our goal of qualifying for the World Cup,” Berhalter said in a statement. “We have a group that’s ready to compete and deal with the challenges that come our way.”

This World Cup qualifying cycle wraps up with a trio of matches during the March international window as the USA faces regional rival Mexico in Mexico City on March 24 (10 p.m. ET, Univision, TUDN, CBS Sports Network, Paramount+), Panama in Orlando, Fla. on March 27 (7 p.m. ET; FS1, UniMás, TUDN) and Costa Rica in San Jose on March 30 (Paramount+, Universo, Peacock).
