Marcelo Moreira certainly is a busy man these days.

The former Rochester Lancers goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach has been named to a similar position with the Flower City Union.

The Sao Paolo, Brazil native also the goalkeeper coach of WNY Flash Academy, Monroe Community College men’s and women’s teams and Nazareth College.

Moreira also runs More Keepers, a goalkeeper program in which he trains youth keepers in Western New York. He also was the goalkeeper coach for the Western New York Flash (National Women’s Soccer League).

He played indoor soccer for the Syracuse Silver Knights, St. Louis Ambush, Utica City FC and Lancers in the Major Arena Soccer League.

Flower City will kick off its inaugural National Independent Soccer Association against AC Syracuse in Rochester, N.Y. on Saturday, March 26.
