A pair of familiar names are running for U.S. Soccer Federation president.

The official slate of candidates was confirmed Monday by the nominating and governance committee of U.S. Soccer.

Incumbent Cindy Parlow Cone and Carlos Cordeiro, her predecessor, have met the requirements to be entered in the election, which will take place during the National Council Meeting at U.S. Soccer’s Annual General Meeting in Atlanta on March 5.

To be placed on the ballot, candidates had to meet two requirements:

* The completion of a background check

* At least three letters of nomination on official letterhead from organization members (as defined in Bylaw 302) and/or one of three athlete members of the board of directors
