Defender Auston Trusty has been added to the U.S. men’s national team roster in training camp, U.S. Soccer announced Saturday.

He will join the group in Phoenix, which totals 20 players.

Trusty, 23, earned an invite to his second consecutive USMNT camp, having been a part of the team’s record-setting 1-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Dec. 18, 2021, in Carson, Calif.

He played this past season for the Colorado Rapids, who won the MLS Western Conference title. Trusty started 33 out of 34 league matches, recording a goal and three assists.

The January camp opened Saturday and runs through Jan. 21. It will include several closed-door scrimmages.

The roster for the World Cup qualifying camp in Columbus – which will include domestic and European-based players – will be finalized at the end of the training camp.
