HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Three Hofstra women players picked up additional postseason accolades Wednesday evening as Miri Taylor, Lucy Porter and Anja Suttner were honored.

Taylor, Porter, and Suttner were named to the ECAC Division I women’s team.

Taylor, who was taken in the National Women’s Soccer League draft, earned her third national honor and second regional honor after earning many other accolades earlier this month. Taylor was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America first team, was a semifinalist for the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy, and collected Colonial Athletic Association attacking player of the year and All-Colonial Athletic Association first team accolades. Taylor recorded a Hofstra program-record 42 points for Hofstra on the strength of 17 goals and 11 assists.

Porter, an All-American and CAA midfielder of the year for the third consecutive season, also earned her third national postseason honor. She also was named to the All-America third team and CoSIDA Academic All-America second team. Porter registered seven goals and 11 assists for 25 points and closed out her career as Hofstra’s all-time leader in points (123).

Suttner earned All-East Region second team honors. Also a three-time member of the All-CAA first team, Suttner led the backline to a program-record 13 shutouts and a 0.58 goals-against average, which ranked 12th in the nation. Suttner contributed one goal and two assists.

Hofstra concluded the 2021 season with a 17-4-1 record and claimed its fourth CAA Championship in the five seasons.
