Left back Andrew Gutman, who played on loan with the Red Bulls from Atlanta United during the Major League Soccer season, has returned to the club for the 2022 campaign.

In March, Atlanta acquired Gutman from Celtic and loaned the outside back to the Red Bulls for a third-round 2024 MLS SuperDraft pick.

“Thank you @NewYorkRedBulls,” Gutman wrote on Twitter. “The fans, players and staff all made me feel welcomed from day one. I’ve made memories here that will last a lifetime. I wish everyone involved with the club nothing but the best in the future! New York will always be Red.”

Gutman, 25, scored two goals and assisted on two others in 1,837 minutes over 19 starts and 22 games with the Red Bulls.
