SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – The LIU men’s season came to a close on the road Sunday, falling to 10th-seeded Saint Louis University in the second round of the NCAA Division I Tournament, 5-1.

John Klein scored the first two goals as the Billikens remained the only undefeated team in Division I while the Sharks finished at 12-5-4.

The hosts took the lead behind Klein’s goals in the third and 16th minutes. Christian Buendia made it 3-0 in the 21st minute.

The Sharks got on the board in the 23rd minute, when freshman Robert Winkler scored on a free kick to make it 3-1.

Saint Louis added two more goals in the second half behind Simon Becher (47th minute) and A.J. Palazzolo (70th minute).

The Sharks played man down for much of the second half due to a red card by Emil Jaaskelainen in the 64th minute.

Goalkeeper Demetri Skoumbakis made three saves.
