HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Hofstra University men secured the Colonial Athletic Association regular season championship by virtue of Northeastern University’s 2-1 win at James Madison University Saturday night.

The Pride will be the top seed in this week’s CAA Championship. The CAA has also announced that Hofstra University and Hofstra Soccer Stadium will serves as the host of the 2021 CAA Men’s Soccer Championship.

The CAA semifinals will take place Thursday, Nov. 11 with games beginning at 4:30 p.m. with top-seeded Hofstra taking on No. 4 seed Drexel. The second match will feature second-seeded Northeastern vs. third-seeded Elon and begin at 7:30 p.m. The winners of Thursday’s semifinal games will advance to the CAA Championship game on Sunday, November 14 at 1 p.m.

There will be no admission charge for the CAA Championship. As per Hofstra health and safety protocols, unvaccinated guests who are not able to maintain distance must wear a face mask or cloth face covering in Hofstra Soccer Stadium.

All three games will be live streamed on FloFC and live statistics will also be available.

This will be the third time that Hofstra Soccer Stadium hosts the CAA Championship. The Pride served as hosts for the semifinals and finals in 2015 and 2016. Hofstra won the 2015 CAA Championship on their home field, defeating Delaware in the finals, 2-0.
