Rest easy, U.S. men’s national team and Christian Pulisic fans.
The star midfielder returned to action for Chelsea as a second-half substitute in its 1-0 win over host Malmo in the UEFA Champions League Tuesday and he looked fine.
Pulisic didn’t score any goals, although the 23-year-old came close to finding the net in stoppage time after rounding the goalkeeper. He played only 16 minutes and injury time, replacing Callum Hudson-Odoi but the midfielder looked like his old self.
So, you can be certain when head coach Gregg Berhalter named his November roster for World Cup qualifying matches, Pulisic will be on the list.
Pulisic had missed action for club and country since suffering an ankle injury during WCQ in September.
