HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Hofstra University women paid for a winless week in the United Soccer Coaches weekly Division I poll that was released Tuesday afternoon.

The Pride dropped from No. 12 to 25th following a difficult 0-1-1 weekend.

This is the seventh consecutive week that Hofstra made an appearance in the national rankings. The Pride also is 23rd in the NCAA Division I RPI.

Hofstra continued to rank inside the top 25 nationally in several statistical categories, including points per game (24th), goals (23rd) and points (20th). Senior forward Miri Taylor was tied for the national lead with 35 points.

Goalkeeper Skylar Kuzmich moved up to sixth place with a 0.463 goals-against average. She has eight shutouts, the second most in the country.

The Pride looks to rebound with two important road Colonial Athletic Association matches against Drexel University (Thursday at 5 p.m.) and Elon University (Sunday at 1 p.m.).
