In what has become a familiar refrain in a miserable season, Red Bulls II lost yet again at MSU Soccer Park Sunday afternoon.

The host side was blanked by Memphis 901 FC before 506 spectators as it dropped to 4-16-4 on the season while Memphis (28 points) improved to 7-8-7.

Kyle Murphy scored on either side of halftime for the winners. After a New York handball in the box, Murphy converted a penalty kick in the 21st minute in the USL Championship encounter.

Five minutes later, Skylar Thomas headed in a Dre Fortune corner kick for a two-goal bulge.

Murphy added his second score, breaking away from New York defenders and slotting the ball into the bottom left corner in the 79th minute.

Red Bulls II forward Luther Archimede made his first professional start in his sixth appearance of the season.

Goalkeeper AJ Marcucci made six saves.

Red Bulls II will travel to face the Charleston Battery Wednesday at 7 p.m.
