The National Women’s Soccer League announced Thursday that the Washington Spirit’s match against Portland Thorns FC, originally scheduled to be played Sept. 4, before being postponed, has been declared a forfeit.

Per FIFA guidelines, the game will be recorded as a 3-0 win in favor of Portland and the Thorns will receive three points in the league standings.

The league also assessed the Spirit a $25,000 fine for breach of the league’s medical protocols.
