QUEENS, N.Y. – Four players scored for the St. John’s University women as they downed Lehigh University, 4-0, Thursday evening at Belson Stadium to remain unbeaten on the season.

St. John’s improved to 3-0-1.

Michelle Money, Brooke Boyd, Maia Cabrera and Ava Collins scored their first goals this season.

Money netted the game-winner in the 38th minute for the first goal of her Red Storm career. The senior midfielder also registered an assist on the evening for a game-high three points.

Three other Johnnies recorded assists – Isabelle Aviza, Kayla Mesaros and Jessica Garziano.

St. John’s goalkeeper Naya Lipkens registered her third shutout. The Bloomfield, Conn. native turned aside three Lehigh attempts.

The Red Storm outshot the Mountain Hawks, 13-5, including a 6-3 edge in shots on goal.

St. John’s broke through in the 38th minute behind Money. The play began as Mesaros send a long pass inside the box to Aviza. The Medway, Mass. native tapped a pass back to Money, who buried it.

The Johnnies struck again in the 51st minute behind Boyd, one of four Red Storm captains this season. The scoring sequence started off a free kick from Athina Sofroniou. The rookie rocketed a shot into heavy traffic but Garziano corralled the loose ball. The Melville, N.Y. native sent a pass back to Money, who connected with Boyd for the goal.

The Red Storm increased its lead to 3-0 in the 87th minute following a goal by Cabrera. The Rego Park, N.Y. native capitalized on a deflection off of the hands of Lehigh’s goalkeeper for the fourth goal of her Red Storm career.

Three minutes later, Collins became the eighth Red Storm player to score a goal this season. The Auckland, New Zealand native rocketed a shot from just outside the 18-yard box to the right corner of the cage.

The Johnnies travel to Cambridge, Mass. with Harvard University Sept. 5 at 1 p.m.
