Hofstra University midfielder Lucy Porter has named to the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List.

This was Porter’s third time featured on the list. She was named a semifinalist for the award last spring. She was among 59 women players on the list.

The trophy is the most prestigious individual award in college soccer and is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female players of the year.

Porter is coming off another fine season in which she became the initial first team United Soccer Coaches All-American in program history. She also was named the Colonial Athletic Association midfielder of the year for the second consecutive season, among numerous other accolades. Porter tallied 10 goals in four assists during the shortened spring 2021 season. In 2019, she broke a Hofstra single-season record with 40 points with 16 goals and eight assists.

She was named the 2021 CAA preseason midfielder of the year.

Porter entered her fifth season in Hempstead, N.Y. ranked third all-time at Hofstra with 91 points and is also third all-time with 41 goals. Following Hofstra’s 5-1 season opening victory over Stony Brook University Thursday night, Porter recorded two assists, increasing her career point total to 100.

Hofstra plays at UAlbany in a non-conference match Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
