Red Bulls II allowed two second-half goals within a 10-minute span as it dropped a 3-1 decision to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in a USL Championship match at MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, N.J. Friday night.

New York (13 points) dropped to 3-7-4 while the Riverhounds improved to 8-4-3.

Pittsburgh opened the scoring 10 minutes in, as Alex Dixon scored off a pass from Kenardo Forbes.

NYRB II answered back 18 minutes later, with Jake LaCava sending a long pass through to Omar Sowe, who converted a low shot to level the match at 1-1.

Seven minutes into the second half, Russell Cicerone maneuvered around the backline, dribbled around goalkeeper A.J. Marcucci and scored off a sharp angle shot to put Pittsburgh back in front.

The Riverhounds doubled their lead in the 62nd minute, with Dixon sending a low cross that was tapped in by Albert Dikwa to extend the lead to 3-1.

Mathias Jørgensen made his season debut for Red Bulls II after returning from loan at Danish Superliga side AGF. He replaced Cameron Harper in the 82nd minute and had made 21 previous appearances for the club during the 2019 campaign.

Nico Rabiu made his professional debut, entering in the 88th minute as a substitute for LaCava.

Red Bulls II will travel to face Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, July 31 at 11 p.m. ET.
