QUEENS, N.Y. – Entering its 28th season under the direction of head coach Ian Stone, the St. John’s University women announced their 2021 fall schedule Wednesday.
The 18-game slate features nine home matches at Belson Stadium. Broadcast destinations for all games will be announced at a later date.
The Johnnies will kick off the fall season at home, welcoming the New Jersey Institute of Technology to Queens Aug. 19. This will mark the first meeting between the two programs.
The squad next will travel to Philadelphia for a Sunday showdown against Saint Joseph’s Aug. 22. The Red Storm and the Hawks will matchup for the fifth time in program history, with St. John’s leading the series, 3-1.
The Red Storm will return to Queens for back-to-back matchups, beginning with a 6 p.m. contest against Columbia University on Aug. 27. Less than a week later, the Johnnies will play host to Lehigh on Sept. 2 at 7 p.m.
Three days later, St. John’s will play two road matches at Harvard on Sept. 5 and Delaware on Sept. 9.
St. John’s will welcome Central Connecticut State to Belson Stadium on Sept. 12 before wrapping up non-conference action at Yale on Sept. 19.
The Red Storm will kick off Big East play on Sept. 23, as the team returns to Connecticut for a 7 p.m. matchup with UConn.
Three days later, the Johnnies will begin a two-game homestand, taking on DePaul Sept. 26, before playing host to Butler Sept 30.
The Red Storm will open up the month of October with a trip to Cincinnati, as the Johnnies face off against Xavier Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.
On Oct. 10, the Johnnies will welcome reigning Big East champion Georgetown University to Queens for a 1 p.m. contest. Four days later, the Red Storm will travel to Milwaukee for an 8 p.m. ET meeting with Marquette.
St. John’s will return home to Queens on Oct. 17 for a Sunday showdown with Providence College. The Red Storm and the Friars closed out the 2021 spring slate with back-to-back draws.
The Red Storm then will play consecutive road games. On Oct. 21, the Johnnies will travel to South Orange, N.J. for a 6 p.m. matchup with Seton Hall before making a trip to Omaha, Neb., for a 2 p.m. ET matchup Oct. 24 with Creighton.
St. John’s will wrap up regular-season action Oct. 28, welcoming Villanova University to Belson Stadium for 2 p.m. contest.
