It was a tough Saturday for both Rochester Lancers teams as they went down to defeat at their respective FC Buffalo opponents.

In their final game ever, the Lady Lancers lost to the FC Buffalo, 4-0, in a United Women’s Soccer encounter in the first game of a doubleheader at Robert rich Sr. All-High Stadium in Buffalo, N.Y.

In the second game, the Lancers dropped a 2-1 decision to the FC Buffalo men in a National Premier Soccer League match.

Carissima Cutrona scored two goals and set up a third goal as Buffalo (7-2-1, 23 points) clinched a playoff spot while the Lady Lancers finished their fourth and final season at 0-10-0.

Kelsey Araujo also had a goal and an assist, while Marcy Barberic scored, and Kat Camper recorded two assists.

In the men’s game, August Finn had lifted the Lancers (2-5-1, 7 points) to a 1-0 lead before the third-place Wolves (2-4-2, 8) rallied. First, Alessio Atzori equalized before halftime. Substitute Ali Shawish drilled a shot from distance in the second half for the game-winner.

The Lancers will play their final game ever at the Pittsburgh Hotspurs at Founders Field in Pittsburgh, Pa. Sunday at 5 p.m.
