Montreal has dropped out of the 2026 World Cup host city selection process.

Canada Soccer announced Tuesday morning that Montreal will not continue the selection process as a candidate host city.

Reasons as to why Montreal decided not to continue wasn’t immediately known.

Canada has two remaining candidates to host games – Edmonton and Toronto.
